Selecting a Location for Panama City Beach Photography
Due to my career in Panama City portrait & wedding photography, I’m quite literally always on the lookout for the perfect backdrops to create dreamy portraits. Annoyingly so, in fact – I’m a bit of a rubbernecker as I’m out and about. Thankfully, the beautiful Emerald Coast has no shortage of stunning, natural locations. When the opportunity arose to plan & photograph this editorial bridal session in beautiful PCB, Florida, I was thrilled. I knew this session was going to be so dreamy! Feeling inspired to focus on the winding beach paths & tropical foliage, I chose this stretch of beach in West PCB. The dunes, coastal grasses & paths fit the aesthetic I was after perfectly. The natural beauty of the white sand and crystal-clear water provided a ridiculously beautiful backdrop for these coastal bridal portraits.

The Makeup
To make the shoot really special, I collaborated with Tye Beauty – an amazing local makeup artist who specializes in creating natural, yet elevated bridal & beauty looks. Tye used a mix of neutral tones and soft pink hues to bring out this bride’s natural beauty while making her feel like a true goddess. Not only is Tye an expert at all things skin, makeup & beauty, but her uplifting spirit & calm, professional demeanor makes for a relaxing, truly pleasant experience.
The Wedding Dress

This gown was perfect for the beach setting, catching the breeze and creating an ethereal effect. Photography Angles – Focusing on the Bridal Details
So much love for the details! During the shoot, I focused on capturing the bride’s natural beauty and the stunning details of the dress, flowers, accessories and scene. One beautiful way to ensure your bridal portraits are unique & personal is to add in accessories or props. Choose items that fit your personality and the vibe that you’re going for. I added in a vintage, mustard velvet chair to give us an unexpected flair & pop of color & style for contrast against the sand, green coastal grasses & tropical foliage.
Filmy, Vintage, Dreamy
I chose to also shoot a roll of 35mm film at this session, and love the nostalgic, grainy, vintage feel that the film scans portray. For the lover of things that are timeless, vintage inspired & perfectly imperfect, be sure to request your photographer to add on film if that’s something he/she offers!
