Nestled along the stunning shores of the Gulf of Mexico, Panama City Beach is not just a haven for sun-seekers but also a relaxing destination for food & wine connoisseurs. In this guide, we’ll embark on a delightful exploration of the wineries in Panama City Beach Florida, uncovering the unique flavors and experiences they offer!
Our journey begins with Panama City Beach Winery, unassuming from the outside, but sure to leave quite the impression! This unique spot only serves FRUIT wines – where every bottle tells a story of craftsmanship and features delicious, concentrated fermented fruits. From guava to mango to my personal favorite, keylime – they have a myriad of choices for you and your group to indulge in; a tasting experience that is sure to delight every palate.
The sommoliers are always super friendly, the atmosphere laid back, and you’ll most likely be served a delicious bite of a snack or dessert along with your complimentary wine-tasting. After you’re done, grab a glass of your favorite selection to enjoy while you chat and shop, or a sealed wine slushie to-go (PERFECT for a sunset stroll on the beach). Don’t forget to take a few bottles of your favorites to enjoy – the bright, fruity blends marry the local flavors of the Gulf Coast beautifully!

Continuing our exploration, we arrive at the Duplin Winery, an impressive building that rises from the PCB landscape and welcomes you inside! This winery features muscadine wines made from the muscadine grape- local to the South/Southeast and with a distinctive & recognizable flavor profile. The wines at Duplin are particularly loved by those folks who prefer a sweeter wine selection. Tastings are $15/person and include a gourmet cheese dip, homemade gourmet crackers, and a glass of wine after the tasting has been completed – I can vouch for the crackers & dip being scrumptious!
All of the employees encountered at Duplin were incredibly pleasant. This winery partners regularly with local musicians and have beautiful outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy a conversation & a glass or two with your favorites. ALSO, I’ve been told that they’re building a wedding venue – as a local photographer, this excites me greatly! I can’t wait to see what all is in store for the Duplin Winery property!

Grab a bottle or two from one of the above-mentioned wineries in Panama City Beach Florida and stop into a local shop like Publix, Fresh Market or Carousel for some accompanying cheeses, olives & breads/crackers – whatever floats your metaphorical charcuterie boat! With these bites & your favorite human, head down to one of the local beaches to watch the sunset. A recipe for a truly perfect evening!
Be mindful of others and don’t leave anything on the beach but footprints! Also, keep in mind that alcohol is illegal in PCB during the month of March (in an attempt to keep Spring Break under control).
While the two listed above are the only technical “wineries” in the area, there are a myriad of small wine-bars & shops that offer tastings & tapas nearby:
